I can't believe how fast June is flying by! I spent three and a half weeks in Virginia Beach; Gabe graduated from kindergarten and performed in his first Dance Recital. I've posted pics on my website under my family or click the link above if interested.
I got back on June 17 with Gabe in tow. He's spending the summer with me and we're having a lot of fun except for the past few days with all the rain.
I managed to write a couple of new short stories, finished the novel I was working on and just have to tweak it, and am currently writing two movie scripts. After these projects are finished, I intend to take a break and spend the rest of the summer having fun with Gabe.
Gabe has a lot of things he wants to do. I think the rodeo will be fun and he also wants to write a book. He's got most of it planned out except for the plot. LOL He says he's trying to find the mood.

Rating: 4 Stars
Heat level: H
Ms. Droney really packs a punch with this short, sizzling read. Kayla’s a woman who knows her own heart and desires and she wants Lucas. The dialogue between them is easy and realistic and you’ll definitely be able to understand why they’re attracted to each other.

Sharing Happy News!
I love it when I can brag about my daughters or grandson. Okay, who doesn't like to brag about their children?
Jenn is my oldest daughter and she has had many short stories and poems published both in print and on the Web. She's also a very talented artist and studied art in college. I thought art would always be her choice for her creative endeavors, but she turned her talents to writing and music. I'm happy to announce that Jenn has just released a collection of short stories and a CD and has an upcoming novella titled Moon-Sculpted Flesh contracted by Chippewa Publishing. She also DJ's in Pittsburgh under the name DJ Lollidrop.
Jenn's Works:
Dissolution
An outcast who summons zombies to avenge her...A jilted lover who reveals her true bloodthirsty nature...A Red Riding Hood who discovers the wolf within... These tales and many more await you in this collection of twenty-seven short stories, including eight that have never before been published, by a new voice in horror.
Available In Paperback or Ebook

A Little Bit Of This And That
I hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend. I was in Virginia Beach with my youngest daughter and Gabe. I spent one day at school with him and was introduced to his friends and teachers by him. Of course my name is Amma. It was cute to have his friends calling me Gabe's Amma.
The week went by much too quickly. My daughter was baptized on Saturday night and Gabe will be baptized this summer. He was so proud watching her. When he gets excited about something he gets this twitch in his cheek and looks like he's going to cry. Afterwards, he ran over to her and hugged her then said, "Mommy, I'm proud of you." After we sat back down, he looks at me and says, "Now Mommy's a good Catholic like me."
I managed to finish a short story while I was there and had intended to tweak it today, but things didn't work out the way I had planned. My oldest daughter called me with some devastating news; her former boyfriend, who had remained her best friend even after their breakup, was found dead this morning. He was only twenty-six and a talented musician. It seemed like all of his dreams were finally coming true when this happened. A couple of weeks ago his band had released their first CD. Ben's sudden and unexpected death made me put things into perspective and realize how things can change in the blink of an eye. I'm always saddened when a young life, a life filled with so much talent that the world will never know, is suddenly taken. I'm trying my best to help my daughter through this difficult time as are all of the many people who loved Ben. Of all the boyfriends my daughter has ever had, I can honestly say that Ben was the only one who treated her like a queen. He was kind, generous and put others' needs before his own. When my daughter was sick, he was the one who came to her apartment to take care of her. I guess it's true that the good die young. Rest in peace, Ben. Your time here was much too short, but your memory will live on.

LATEST NEWS ON EBOOKAD
TO ALL READERS, AUTHORS, AND PUBLISHERS:
UNFORTUNATELY EBOOKAD HAS DECIDED TO ENGAGE IN CENSORSHIP ON THEIR SITE. IF YOU WANT TO POST AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON THEIR PAGE, FORGET IT. FOR SOME ODD REASON THEY HAVE REMOVED THE RIGHT TO DO THAT. APPARENTLY EBOOKAD IS AFRAID OF SOMETHING, MAYBE THEY JUST DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW THE FACTS. HERE THEY ARE!
THIS IS COMPLETELY WITHOUT PREJUDICE:
MY PUBLISHER, AN UPRIGHT AND HONABLE ENTERPRISE, HAS HAD SOME PROBLEMS GETTING PAID BY EBOOKAD RECENTLY. THAT MEANS THAT HARD WORKING, AND USUALLY, POOR AUTHORS HAVE TO WAIT TO GET PAID AS WELL. THAT'S NOT FAIR, IS IT?
EBOOKAD APPARENTLY DOESN'T CARE TO RESPOND TO ENQUIRIES ABOUT THE MONEY OWED TO MY PUBLISHER. NO LONGER WILLING TO PUT BOOKS ON A SITE WHERE NO PAYMENT WAS FORTHCOMING, AND NOT HEARING ANYTHING FROM EBOOKAD AS TO WHY PAYMENT WAS NOT FORTHCOMING, EXTASY DECIDED TO TERMINATE THEIR AGREEMENT WITH EBOOKAD. NOW, EVERYTHING IS GONE. EBOOKAD HAS DISREGARDED THIER AGREEMENT WITH MY PUBLISHER AND WIPED OUT THE SITE, SHOPPING CART AND ALL. THAT MEANS A LOSS OF REVENUE FOR MY PUBLISHER. THAT MEANS A LOSS OF REVENUE FOR THE AUTHORS. IT ALSO MEANS THAT READERS CAN'T GET THEIR BOOKS. THAT'S NOT FAIR.
IF YOU AGREE THAT'S NOT FAIR, AND YOU ARE A READER OF MY BOOKS, OR ANY OF THE WONDERFUL BOOKS AT EXTASY, THEN COMPLAIN, AND COMPLAIN LOUD. IF YOU ARE A PUBLISHER OR AN AUTHOR, THEN COMPLAIN LOUD TOO. ASK EBOOKAD WHY THEY DON'T RESPOND TO PEOPLE THEY OWE MONEY TO. ASK THEM WHY THEY HAVE DISCONTINUED THEIR ANNOUNCEMENT SITE. I BELIEVE THEY DID THAT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T LIKE WHAT WAS BEING WRITTEN THERE!
EXTASYBOOKS WILL NO LONGER DEAL WITH EBOOKAD. IN TWO WEEKS, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PURCHASE BOOKS DIRECTLY FROM THIS GREAT, HONEST AND UPFRONT PUBLISHER, WHO WILL ALWAYS TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT, AND PAY THIER DUES. EBOOKAD MIGHT TAKE A LESSON FROM THAT. THEY HAVE LOST ONE OF THEIR MOST LUCRATIVE CLIENTS.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COPY AND PASTE THIS. POST IT ANYWHERE, THE MORE PLACES, THE BETTER. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

Story Ideas
A lot of people ask me where I get the ideas for my books. Sometimes they come from watching people, bits of conversation, or events from my or friends' lives.
My children's series The Adventures Of Angel is based on my bunny who has since passed on. She was more like a puppy than a bunny and she definitely had a mind of her own.
The Stalker came about when my youngest daughter was attending college in Pittsburgh and was being stalked. Fortunately, her situation had a happy resolution. The stalking gave me the idea for the book and my imagination did the rest.
A future novel My Tommy is based on the lives of my late parents. My father died when I was a young child and my mother never remarried. She always referred to my father as my Tommy and it was evident that he was the one and only love of her life.
I'm also working on a two-book series Obsessed and Revenge which deals with the very painful subject of spousal abuse and is loosely based on events that happened to someone close to me.
I never run out of ideas for books and I fear that I'll run out of time before I ever get to write all of the books that I want to. :-)
