This & That

Finally, I've managed to have a very productive week! Last night I wrote for about six hours and am getting ready to write hopefully my day's quota. I think I've finally come up with a title I like for my book in progress. I won't know until I finish the book whether I'll keep the title or not. I swear this book has been the most difficult for me to name. I'm pleased with its progress and am up to 64,000 words. I still think it will top out at about 100,000 words.

I found out that my grandson Gabe will be spending the summer with me. If you want to see pics of him, click the link. I can't wait! He's a terrific little guy and I'm planning some fun activities for him. One of the things he wants to do is write a book with Amma. The book he'd asked me to write and gave me ideas for last fall will be the perfect project.

Between now and June I hope to complete two more projects besides this current work in progress so that I can devote the summer to Gabe.

What A Week!

This has been a crazy week! I didn't get as much writing accomplished as I'd hoped to. Again, I changed the title of one of my current works in progress! I might just keep this title.

Gabe called me on Valentine's Day to say, "Amma, you are my special Valentine". That made my day! He's been busy in kindergarten and calls me almost everyday to give me his daily report. He's got an opinion on everything and likes to share it. Consequently, he's been losing some of his recess time for talking. He's already an avid reader and reading on a second grade level. I just hope he always keeps his love for books. He's also getting ready for the spring season of soccer. Last fall was his first time playing and since I was visiting him, I got to watch his games and practice sessions. He finally seemed to be understanding the game at the last practice and at the last game he was so proud when he scored...for the opposing team! LOL That's my boy!

On Thursday I was working when my computer suddenly went dead. I found out that half the house was out of power! After several hours and phone calls to get someone to come to the house, I found out that there was a short in the line due to an overload and the breaker didn't turn off. Thank God that the electrician took care of the problem. He said it was a miracle that there wasn't a fire. In a couple of weeks he is going to upgrade the wiring. A few years ago I had some electrical work done, the wiring updated, and a new breaker box put in. I wish I had checked the electrician's credentials better at that time. He obviously hadn't done everything he had said he did and had been paid for. Alas, he is also no where around.

Cabin Fever

When Kayla North's car is run off the road during a blizzard, she begins walking down an unfamiliar desolate back country road hoping to find shelter from the worsening storm. Later she awakens naked in a strange bed wondering how she got there. The door slowly opens and Kayla sees a handsome stranger looking at her. Something about him seems oddly familiar, but she is certain she's never met him before.

New Review For The Stalker!

I was excited to receive this new review for The Stalker. Here's a snippet:

Rating: 4 ½ flames—Rare Find
THE STALKER is a crafty thriller that takes the reader into the mind of a mentally unstable madman and the effect his actions have on the people who are unfortunate enough to be in his life. The plot will draw you in and hold you; it will scare you and make you think who might be watching you as you wait and watch for Jeremy Talbot’s next move. Nicely done.

Book Titles

One of the most difficult things for me as an author is coming up with titles for my books. I'm working on a novel now where I've changed the title three times and will probably change it again. This novel was "completed" a year ago and I sent it off to my daughter who edits most of my manuscripts before I submit them. She's brutal, but good and I value her opinions. After I read her comments, I realized that what she said makes perfect sense, so I've been ripping the novel apart and cutting and adding. It's probably going to end up about 100,000 words. I hope to complete it within the next two months.

I'm almost finished with another erotica romance short story, but haven't come up with a title! All in all, the past month has been very productive.
